Britney Spears designed her own daring dress for the Grammy after parties on Wednesday night. But three days before, the pop star was making headlines for all the wrong reasons when she was photographed driving with her baby on her lap. Was she running from the paparazzi or endangering her child? Access Hollywood's Tony Potts got the exclusive story when he caught up with Britney and Kevin after the Grammys.
"How are you guys responding to all the hub bub over what happened the other day with Sean Preston?" Tony asked the party-going couple.

Several photos published Tuesday showed Spears driving her sport utility vehicle in Malibu, California, with her 4-month-old son perched on her lap rather than strapped into a car seat in the back seat.
The 24-year-old pop star said she did it because of a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi."

The “Oops, I Did It Again” singer — who has been under attack for driving with her infant son on her lap — is being criticized by rival pop star Pink. “She’s always been disgusted by the Mickey Mousers’ values and just doesn’t understand [Britney’s] decision to rush off and have a child so quickly,” says a friend of Pink.
Pink mocks some of her pop rivals in her video “Stupid Girls,” and on her Web site blasts the “mindless epidemic of unhealthy girls out there promoting consumerism and escapism.”
And when a British tab recently asked if she was going to have a baby soon, Pink shot back, “[Bleep] no. I’m not gonna do a Britney and pop out some kids. I’m not a Happy Meal. My husband’s got the burger, but he’s not getting the fries and shake to go with it.”

Contactmusic.com reported that Britney Spears has started meeting up with her ex-husband Jason Alexander again - because he lives in the same Los Angeles apartment block as her dad.The couple only wed for 55 hours but sources claim the pop star is still friendly with her father Jamie's neighbour, and has been meeting him in Studio City for heartfelt chats.
A pal of Alexander's tells American magazine In Touch, "Britney has been visiting him whenever she feels lonely. She used to come over once a month, but now she visits more regularly.
"She's known Jason since they were little, so she feels like she can trust him."
The publication has even tracked a regular weekly visiting schedule, claiming Britney visits Alexander on Wednesdays, between 2pm and 5pm.
This latest news follows months of speculation about the state of Britney's marriage to dancer Kevin Federline.
In Touch also claims the couple had a public fight at their favourite restaurant, Moonshadows, last Friday (03FEB06), after which Federline stormed out, leaving a weeping Britney to dine alone.

Entertainmentwise.com reported that Britters was set upon by an out of control stag party who stated demanding money from the millionaire super star.
A source told the Daily Star: "It turned nasty when Kevin went to look for their car. That's when the stag party spotted Britney.
"They started saying they were her homies and at first Britney was really sweet and said, 'Wow, they're saying they're from Kentwood'."
"They were obviously very drunk and jealous of her success and it got frightening real quick.
"They were yelling, 'Give us some of your money' and lunging at her."
According to reports Britney was saved by trailer trash Federline who turned out to be her knight in shining armour for once…bless.

Bbc.co.uk: The singer issued the statement after several photos of the incident were circulated on the internet.
"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, ..but the paparazzi continued to stalk us," Spears said. The singer gave birth to her son Sean in September
The photos show Spears driving in traffic with one arm round Sean on her lap, rather than strapped into a baby car seat, while a passenger sits next to them.
In her statement, Spears described the moments when the photographs were taken as a "horrifying, frightful encounter".

"Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

The bad news is 75 percent are rating it as an 'F,"' said Jack Isquith, the executive director at AOL Music, which devoted a whole page - "The Emancipation of K-Fed" - to the song and allowed visitors to rate "PopoZao." He said that 500,000 visitors have been on the site and about 85,000 have played the song.
