He plans to have his wife, who is pregnant with their second child, as his date for the evening. He says, "This is my first big event, and I need her support and I want her support. "If she's feeling under the weather because of the baby, obviously she won't be able to be there. But she'll want to be there for me. "I want to prove myself as an artist, as a rapper and as a human being in society who goes through everything everybody else goes through."

TMZ: Is someone trying to sabotage the National Enquirer? Apparently, the tabloid thinks that's precisely what's going down.
In the last few days, Britney Spears and Kate Hudson both got their pound of flesh from the National Enquirer, well not exactly. They got apologies from the UK National Enquirer. The paper retracted its story that Britney was ready to divorce K-Fed and issued an apology. Ditto Kate Hudson -- the paper retracted it's story that Kate was dangerously thin.
National Enquirer officials in the United States believes reps for Spears and Hudson are intentionally creating a deception -- that the retraction was from their paper when in fact those stories never ran domestically -- only in the UK paper. They believe the alleged deception unfairly sullies the National Enquirer name.
But Marty Singer, whose law firm, Lavely & Singer, reps both Hudson and Spears, scoffs at the notion that any deception exists. Singer says the National Enquirer and the UK National Enquirer "are one in the same." Singer notes the same company -- American Media -- owns both papers and also claims that "they carry most of the same stories."
National Enquirer Editor in Chief David Perel says Singer may be right, but the fact is the two stories in question never ran in the U. S. of A. -- and there, Perel says, lies the deception.

nationalledger: Former pop star Britney Spears had more than her fair share of scares during her pregnancy with her first baby Sean Preston. But few reports have leaked out of any health related issues for Britney's second pregnancy in her first two trimesters.
At least until now.
It appears that the trapping of pregnancy have caught up with Brit and she is suffering from morning sickness and the dizzy spells and nausea that go with according to this week's Life & Style.
But this time, she has her husband Kevin Federline to help out, reports Life & Style Weekly.
Insiders tell the weekly magazine that the star has recently been feeling nauseated and light-headed. In fact, the magazine will report in this week's issue that Brit, 24, had quite a scare recently when she began to see white spots while holding 10-month-old Sean Preston.
Luckily, the magazine reports that husband Kevin was nearby to provide the assist and prevent a potential tragedy.
“Thank God he was there, because she would have dropped the baby,” says a pal. “Kevin grabbed Sean and helped Brit over to a chair.”

Kevin has proved himself during this difficult time by taking care of Sean and renting romantic comedies for Britney. Says an insider, “He’s giving her all the support she could ask for!”

The couple - who are expecting their second child together - are said to be so fed up with the negative rumours surrounding their personal life they are planning to head down the altar again to stop the speculation.
Britney and Kevin - who have a nine-month-old son, Sean Preston, together - have reportedly planned an intimate ceremony on the Hawaiian beach of Maui next month.
A source was quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying: "They want to stop all the gossip."
The couple - who married after a whirlwind romance - have been hit by rumours their marriage is on the rocks due to Kevin's frequent partying.
However, Britney, 24, has denied their relationship is in trouble, and recently announced the couple are planning to appear in a second series of their hit reality show 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic' - to prove their marriage is rock solid.
She said: "I know that things are fine, but this show will put paid to those rumours finally."

Britney Spears' man is ready to make his debut. Kevin Federline says viewers will be "shocked" and naysayers "surprised" at his first live performance in front of a national audience. Fox announced Wednesday that Federline will close the Teen Choice 2006 awards show Aug. 20 by performing his hip-hop/rock single, Lose Control. The plan is for wife Spears, who is expecting their second child in September, to be his date to the show. "This is my first big event, and I need her support and I want her support. If she's feeling under the weather because of the baby, obviously she won't be able to be there. But she'll want to be there for me." Federline's career has been fairly quiet since he married Spears nearly two years ago, and he feels pressure to do well. "It's been building up for a long time, and the process with the album (Playing with Fire) took a long time, so I decided to just get out there and jump on stage," Federline says. "As a dancer, it was one thing, but now it's a whole different story." He says that "certain dancers and performers who are good at what they do, the best at what they do" will join him on stage for the number. Federline and Spears have been collaborating in the studio and have completed three duets. He chose one to be included on his album, but he won't give away the title. "It's not really a love song. "They should listen to what comes out of my mouth or my wife's mouth." As for their marriage, he says, "It's wonderful," and headlines suggesting otherwise are not true. "Even with the bad stuff, you go through it, and it just makes you love each other even more," he says. "Well, in our case, at least." He says he and Spears don't know the sex of their second child. (They did know the sex of their son, Sean Preston, 10 months, before he was born.) "We want to be surprised this time."

Hot comedian Dane Cook has signed on to co-host the Teen Choice Awards next month, and Kevin Federline will say "PopoZao" to the world with his live performance debut.
Cook, who currently stars in the HBO show "Tourgasm" and has a comedy special on the network in September, will host the awards with Jessica Simpson -- which will no doubt give further fodder to various gossip pages that have romantically linked them in recent months (they say they're "just friends"). Cook and Simpson also co-star in the Lionsgate movie "Employee of the Month," due for release in September.
The Teen Choice Awards, which air Sunday, Aug. 20 on FOX
, will also see Federline, Britney Spears' husband, will perform his single "Lose Control" live on network TV for the first time. The song is the first cut from his album "Playing with Fire," which will hit stores not long after the awards broadcast.
Cook and Simpson are also both nominees in this year's Teen Choice Awards. Cook is up for the Choice Comedian honor, while Simpson could win the show's surfboard trophies for Choice Movie Breakout Performance (in "The Dukes of Hazzard"), Choice Hottie (Female) and Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon.
Teenagers can vote on the awards through Aug. 11 at FOX.com, MySpace.com, IGN.com (all of those being News Corp. properties) and TeenPeople.com.

When she recently dyed her hair black, perhaps in an attempt to take the dogs off the scent, her publicists were flooded with calls asking, “But isn’t that bad for the baby?” (Note: It’s a vegetable dye.) At 24, Britney has lived more lives already than most of us ever will, and she has made the same mistakes we all do, except hers are magnified a thousand by an unforgiving lens.
When she agreed to this session, though, Britney knew exactly what she was doing: getting her mojo back. “It made me want to cry a little bit, doing these photos,” she admits. “I started feeling like myself again.” And one doesn’t need a degree in Obvious Pop Cultural Metaphors to understand that Britney’s donning Viktor & Rolf’s cagelike mask comes with its own allusions: “I was a little held back at first,” she says. “I didn’t know if I wanted to go there, because… you know. But when I put in on, I though, God, this is beautiful.” And, after all, beauty is truth. “I think being pregnant is such an empowering feeling,” she adds. “And for mothers out there in general, you don’t feel the most beautiful all the time.”

The early years: “I was in love with her from the start,” Timberlake, 25, says in the August issue of GQ. The two met on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club when he was 11 and she was 10. As his mom, Lynn Harless, recalls, “Britney grew up on my living room floor.”

Former dancer Federline is anxious for PLAYING WITH FIRE to be a success, so has postponed its planned release next month (JUL06). An insider tells British newspaper The Sun, "He will be rapping over her singing. But people are warning it could be a career move for Britney."

britneyexperts: The National Enquirer apologized to Britney Spears in its British edition Tuesday for reporting that she was ready to divorce Kevin Federline.
The articles were published June 5 and June 12 under the headlines, "Britney marriage is over!" and "Britney and Kevin: And now their divorce!" Both stories were vaguely sourced to unidentified friends of the couple.
The retraction and apology said National Enquirer officials "now accept that their marriage is not over and they are not getting divorced. These allegations are untrue and we now accept Britney's position that the statements are without foundation. We apologize for any distress caused."
A London lawyer representing American Media Inc., the Boca Raton, Fla.-based publisher of the National Enquirer, signed a settlement agreement with Paul Tweed, the Belfast lawyer representing Spears in Britain and Ireland. The settlement requires a published apology, but no cash damages.
Spears pursued a libel action on this side of the Atlantic, rather than in the United States, because British and Irish laws are much more plaintiff-friendly.
The 24-year-old pop princess and Federline, 28, an aspiring rapper, were married in September 2004. They have a 10-month-old son, Preston, and she is pregnant with their second child, due this fall.
"The couple are very satisfied with the Enquirer's prompt and good-faith response," Tweed said in a phone interview from Cape Cod, Mass., where he is on vacation. He confirmed the settlement meant the National Enquirer would not be sued, nor be required to publish the apology in the United States.
London lawyer Niri Shan, who represented American Media, declined to comment.
The office of National Enquirer chief executive David Pecker referred The Associated Press to a New York public-relations firm that wasn't immediately aware of the lawsuit or settlement.
Media lawyers say such cases could become increasingly popular when targeting U.S.-based publications with even a small overseas distribution.
Whereas U.S. libel law requires a celebrity to prove that an article was both false and published maliciously, British and Irish libel law places the burden of proof on the publisher of such material.
The apology and retraction was published Tuesday in the British edition in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales and was being published Wednesday in its Republic of Ireland version.

TMZ: Kevin Federline was spotted in Malibu yesterday carrying some new exercise equipment. The question is: Who's it for? Is K-Fed trying to get in shape, or is it for wife Britney Spears, post pregnancy?
Britney, who is on the cover of the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, tells the mag that she is looking forward to getting back into shape and going out on tour. "After this baby," she says, "I'm going to get really intense with it."
The equipment K-Fed is holding appears to be the BOSU Balance Trainer
and the BOSU Bola Trainer, both used in yoga-style stretching exercises.
Spears is expecting to deliver the couple's second child in October.
