Others, however, consider Federline the evil opportunist who cleverly managed to steal the pop princess away from her adoring fans. But does anyone look at Federline and think, "hip-hop star"? Not yet... but that soon may change!
K-Fed, as Federline likes to be called, is about to release his debut album titled Playing With Fire... and you can bet the critics are licking their chops in anticipation. Considering the relentless weekly tabloid executions, you almost have to tip your hat to this guy. It takes a certain amount of chutzpa to put your music out there, knowing it's going to be judged more harshly than if Osama bin Laden recorded the best of Frank Sinatra. But these days, Federline seems numb to vicious criticism. The most infamous husband in the world is dedicating himself to his music, and the rest of us be damned.

misschaotic: Kevin Federline confirmed in his recent interview for 'Steppin' Out' magazine that the song he recorded in collaboration with his wife Britney Spears will be on his upcoming album and most probably the third single.
SO: Does Britney make a cameo on the album?
Kevin: Yeah. It's probably going to be the third single.

But DioGuardi, part of the panel on new show THE ONE: MAKING OF A MUSIC STAR and who has written and produced for CELINE DION, KELLY CLARKSON and THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS, has heard K-FED in action and is not impressed. She tells Celebrity Week, "His rhyming is not so great. I would tell him that if he didn't have a famous wife, I don't know where he would be. And I would tell him that K-Fed is the most retarded name I have ever heard. It is a terrible name. Whoever came up with that name, he needs to break away from them immediately."

celebs-britneyluver: "Who told this ******* he can't rap?" demands Kevin Federline in his latest musical release. Inevitably, he's referring to himself in the third person. "I've got 50 mill, I can do whatever I want!" he concludes. It's a sad indictment of America's heralded constitutional system, but he's probably right. K-Fed really is above the law. At least he doesn't seem subject to the parameters that govern most people's lives.
He married Britney Spears, one of the world's most sought after women, and successfully cultivated an existence that appeared to consist of lying around her mansion getting high and occasionally ratting on her without ever having to face the consequences. Despite his proud assertion that he's "got 50 mill" (money that he couldn't possibly have accumulated through his work as a back-up dancer in pop videos) he is indignant at the suggestion that he's a kept man. And just to put paid to those accusations once and for all, he has launched his own music career as K-Fed the gangsta rapper, and is in negotiations to sign a deal with Britney's own label, Jive Records. nationalledger: Angelina Jolie's baby Shiloh, the fabulous Katie Holmes'™ baby Suri and Britney Spears' Sean P sometimes make more news than their celebrity parents. Shiloh has already graced the cover of magazines and earned millions for charity and is now also waxed and on display.

Baby Suri has been spotted by celebrity friends of Tom Cruise and Katie but as far as their adoring fans and the rest of the public she has yet to have any photos released.
And Sean P's picture has been everywhere whether in the streets of Manhattan or wheeling down the winding roads of Malibu.
So - what's a celebrity magazine to do?
If you are Us Weekly, you look to the future and what Spears, Jolie and Katie's kids may look like in 2026.
Asking for forgiveness in advance (I guess we should as well) Us Weekly delivers a fake cover (above) projecting what they speculate their mag will look like in 20 years when they are tracking down gossip on the kids from today.
How did they do it?
According to the magazine's blog they went so far as to send pics of Hollywood spawn to forensic imaging specialist Joe Mullins, who showed us how they’ll look "all growed up."
They believe that the composite of Sean Preston looks a lot like his mama, Britney Spears. And vaguely like a lion, Us adds.
What will it be like for all of these growing up in such a celebrity fishbowl? That's hard to say, but no matter what year it is - it will certainly be documented by the tabloid media.

Researchers combed through the seven years of virus-laden messages stored in Panda's malware database to determine which celebrities most often had their names involuntarily used in association with malicious spam. Rounding out the top five in Panda's "celebrity virus ranking," were Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and Osama Bin Laden.
Virus writers will use the names of well-known people in order to entice users into clicking on Web links or open up files that then infect their computers, said Patrick Hinojosa, chief technical officer at Panda Software's U.S. subsidiary. "It's a method of social engineering," he said. "A lot of the time it has to do with the timeliness of a current news event."

Always the forerunner in pop culture, PURE Nightclub takes it to another level as it becomes the home to Kevin Federline's newest music video, Lose Control, on July 29. With a video camera in hand, K-Fed will capture PURE's crowd losing control, with some of the footage making the final cut in what is sure to be one of the most talked about music videos of the year.

contactmusic: An aspiring hip-hop star signed to THE STREETS rapper MIKE SKINNER's record label has come up with a tongue-in-cheek reply to LILY ALLEN's UK number one SMILE. The witty response - titled VILE - sees rapper EXAMPLE pose as the singer's ex-boyfriend and opens: "At first you made me smile/It was nice for a while/But then you turned vile". He also accuses the pop star - who has spoken candidly of her drug-taking - of burning him with a joint. He says, "I think Lily has heard the track. I gave it to her producer to play to her. "We just did it for a laugh. Hip-hop artists take life too seriously." A bemused Allen responds on her website: "To all who were wondering, he was never my boyfriend . I do think his version is very funny though. And I think the sock video is pretty good too." Example has also recorded an embittered parody of BRITNEY SPEARS' hit TOXIC, complaining, "Your breath’s f**king toxic."

britneyexperts: Wannabe-rapper and former dancer Kevin Federline, best known to most as “Mr. Britney Spears,” will star in the first ad campaign from Five Star Vintage, a young men's collection from Blue Marlin, San Francisco.
The ads, created in-house, break in September issues of Stuff, Complex, Nylon and URB and run through year’s end. In addition, behind-the-scenes footage of the photo shoot will run on video Web site youtube.com. A sneak-peek promo also will run on myspace.com and imeem.com.
The campaign targets an elusive male demo, the street-savvy 16-28 year-old who reads Complex from cover-to-cover and takes his style cues from the celebrities shown in the magazine. In the first two images, Federline is wearing jackets, which sell for $59-79 at Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Virgin Megastore and Kitson's, a trendy L.A. outlet.
"It's a strong visual image," said Kenneth Loo, director of marketing at Blue Marlin, who parlayed his Hollywood connections into the Federline deal. "Kevin represents the brand well. We knew we would get noticed in the crowded marketplace right now. Our consumer is very hard to reach. They have strong tastes and are very savvy. They don't balk at spending $300 on a pair of jeans, $200 on a pair of shoes or $80 on a T-shirt. You see them at summer concerts and at the mall. Everyone is fighting for them now."

nationalledger: Britney Spears has fired her pool maintenance man, Jon LaLanne, who just happens to be the son of world-famous fitness guru Jack LaLanne.
Britney Having Trouble With the Help?
At least that's the story according to him and now Jon is speaking out and he tells In Touch Weekly, "(Britney) is not the nice person everyone thinks she is.”
The reason he got the ax from Britney - according to this week's ITW - is for talking too much to her husband, Kevin Federline.
Who would have thunk it? It seems it would be good for K-fed to talk to pals at home.
“I was hanging out a little bit,” Jon, 45, tells In Touch.
“She came out screaming at Kevin for lying around, then looked at me like I was to blame.” Britney’s account manager called Jon the next day and told him not to come back.
Jon is a singer for the Malibu-based band BlowGun, and says in the article that he and Kevin often talked about music. But - according to Jon - Britney got jealous whenever her husband spoke to anyone but her.
“She wants Kevin on a leash,” he tells the weekly magazine.
ITW reports that Jon has taken care of pools for other stars, including Barbra Streisand and Titanic director James Cameron, says Britney was an unkind boss.
“She fires everybody. I figured, ‘Why not me?’ I just didn’t expect her to be so mean.”

newszoom: Pregnant pop star Britney Spears had a bit of a scare recently after suffering from mysterious pregnancy related cramps.
Britney, who already has a 10 month old baby Sean Preston, suffered the same pains while pregnant first time round, but thankfully, is now fine.
A friend told the Star: “Britney started cramping. Thankfully she’s fine now but had a real scare.”
However, Britney has been warned to look after herself, eat properly and be ready to be bed ridden for the last month of her pregnancy.
In other Britney news, her former pool man has slammed the pop tart for being a bitch!
An ex-employee of Britney’s, 45 year old Jon LaLanne has claimed she is not as nice as she makes out.
He was fired by Britney recently after she felt he was leading hubby Kevin Federline astray.
He told In Touch magazine: "(Britney) is not the nice person everyone thinks she is."

TMZ: In 1989 Madonna's video for "Like a Prayer" was considered extremely controversial. It featured burning crosses and Madonna kissing a black Christ-like figure. How times have changed. Today that same video has landed her Madgesty on top of MTV UK's list of the 100 Videos That Broke the Rules.
Britney Spears' sexy schoolgirl antics in "Baby One More Time" makes it to number two, and Michael Jackson's 14-minute zombie epic "Thriller" moonwalks into the third spot.
Madonna, whose "Justify My Love" video was banned by MTV in 1990, also has two other videos in the top 10 with "Vogue" at number 5 and "Ray of Light" at number 4.
MTV compiled the list by polling 10,000 viewers and will play the entire 100 videos as part of its 25th Anniversary (yikes!) on August 1st.

britneyexperts: In Touch is reporting that Britney Spears went into false labor, but is apparently now doing O.K. tPC fave Jeannette Walls of MSNBC's "The Scoop" has the details:
'The "Oops!... I Did It Again" crooner went into false labor on July 15, according to In Touch Weekly, and now has her doctor on speed dial. "She's fine now," a "family insider" told the mag. "Britney started cramping. She had a real scare." Spears also had a few health scares during her first pregnancy.
Spears, who is seven months pregnant, learned that she needs to cut down on the Cheetos. "After indulging in junk food during her first two trimesters, she hired a nutritionist to help her follow a well-balanced diet, a "pal" told ITW. "She wasn't eating enough vegetables." Spears' doc also told her that she may have to spend the last month of her pregnancy on bed rest, but, says the friend, "Britney is determined to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy and stay healthy after she gives birth."'
This girl is under entirely too much stress and scrutiny and needs to go home to Louisiana where she might actually be able to relax again.

britneyexperts: Branding Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as copycats, Janet Jackson’s rap mogul beau Jermaine Dupri has praised his sweetheart’s originality in her work.
Dupri, who according to speculation is planning to tie the knot with Jackson on September 26th this year, said that the forthcoming album will set the standard for her rivals in the business, and be a trendsetter.
"Only Janet records sound like her. I always look and think, where's Beyonce going to be in 20 years?' It's hard for me to visualise. I don't put them on the same plane”, Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
"Artists just need to make good music. I said to Janet, 'All you got to do is sing.' Britney and Christina Aguilera are all copycats of one person”.

The singer, who is currentlly pregnant with her second child with husband Kevin Federline, has penned the loving ode to the tot and reportedly sings it to him before he goes to sleep at night.
Britney is so pleased with her composition that she is hoping to put the song on her long-awaited new album.
A source said: "She wanted to write Sean a song to show how much she means to her."
As Britney prepares for the birth of her second child, husband Kevin is gearing up to debut hisfirst single at America's Teen Choice Awards.
The fledgling rapper will close the ceremony, taking place next month, by performing 'Lose Control'.
The song, taken from Kevin's upcoming album 'Playing With Fire', is set to be his first official release.
