"And when she had her baby, I sent over a huge baby basket. I didn't know whether it was a boy or a girl yet, so I sent over just something really sweet, something cute."

However, Almost Famous beauty Deschanel, 26, has signed to play Joplin in The Gospel According to Janis, which starts filming in Philadelphia in November.

The wannabe rapper - who is married to singer Britney Spears - was snubbed by record companies who were unimpressed with his track 'PopoZao', so he has set up Federation Records with manager Dan Dymtrow.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Kev is determined to become even more successful than his wife.
"But after everyone heard his first single there wasn't a music label in town interested in him."
Kevin has filmed the video for new single 'Lose Control' and he will make his debut live TV performance at the Teen Choice Awards next week.
The 28-year-old is planning to release his debut album 'Playing With Fire' in October.
Meanwhile, it was revealed last week that Britney and Kevin are set to renew their wedding vows.
The couple, who have been the subject of countless break-up rumours, are said to be planning to walk down the aisle again after the birth of their second child in October.
A source said: "Britney wants to show the world that she is happily married."
The pair originally tied the knot in September 2004 in a secret and relatively small ceremony attended by only 20 or 30 friends and family.

However, Christina insists she has no plans to follow in the footsteps of pop rivals Jessica and Britney Spears - who starred with husband Kevin Federline in 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic' - and make her private life public.
She told MTV: "Our relationship is very private and special and sacred to me."
The 25-year-old pop beauty also said she felt "sorry" for reality TV stars like Jessica and Nick who turned their relationship into entertainment.
Despite Christina's reservations, Britney is keen to star in another reality series.
She recently announced that she and Kevin plan make a second series of 'Chaotic' to put an end to the rumours their marriage is in trouble.
She said: "I know that things are fine, but this show will put paid to those rumours finally."
