U.S. singer and mother-of-two Britney Spears has made an effort to help needy children by donating 170 personal items from her past.
Included among the donated items from the "Toxic" singer for the Dec. 4 online Christie's auction is a junior high school paper that Spears wrote and now will help benefit the Britney Spears Foundation, Us Weekly reported.
The essay, based on Rex Warner's translation of Sophocles' "Antigone," earned the future pop singer an 88 and will now likely raise between $500 and $700 for the charity, the report said.
Us Weekly pointed out that the 24-year-old singer's paper had the typical spelling errors associated with junior high school students -- ironically the highly publicized Spears specifically had problems spelling "rumor."

New best friends Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are taking their act onstage: The pair will co-host next week's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
"There are no plans for either to perform, but they will host the event together," says a show source. "They’ll be fun onstage together."
Among those performing will be Janet Jackson – who will open the show – Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and the Fray. Carrie Underwood, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Vanessa Minnillo, and Katharine McPhee are among the celebs making special appearances.
Finalists are expected to be announced shortly.
The 2006 Billboard Music Awards will air live on FOX Monday at 8 p.m. ET from Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Spears, who turns 25 on Saturday, is quickly establishing Las Vegas as her second home: She's also confirmed to host a New Year's Eve party at Pure Nightclub, a club spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE Tuesday.
It's also the city where she and Hilton first forged their newfound friendship. Earlier this month, the pair met up and partied in Las Vegas, before doing more club-hopping in Los Angeles over Thanksgiving weekend.

According to a rep, "[Britney] is not scheduled to record in L.A., and she never went to Irving."

Just two weeks since she filed for divorce, she and Paris Hilton, 25, stepped out over the holiday weekend, each wearing one leg of fish net stockings. Together they've partied at Hollywood hotspot Hyde and at a jazz club called Guys.
The partying with Paris began in Las Vegas, moved to L.A., and there are reports they're headed off to Miami next. Pictures surfaced from one night in Vegas where it appeared that Spears took her pants off at a club. There were shots of her sitting on a couch smoking a cigarette, wearing just fishnet stockings and a shirt.
"It seems that whatever happens in Las Vegas … you can fill in the missing pieces," says Paris Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, who has accompanied the girls out in recent weeks.
"Paris had a party at her house a few nights ago, they've seen each other almost everyday. This (is) a good thing, this is a nice thing," Mintz told The ShowBuzz on Monday.
How did this friendship come about? "It's a relatively new friendship and the intensity of their friendship, I think, took fruition in Las Vegas and since then they've been virtually inseparable," says Mintz. "They're like sisters."

The 24-year-old star, who has two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, has been telling her friends, "I gave birth for two-and-a-half years, and now I want to party."
Meanwhile, BritBrit has donated 170 personal items to an online auction at Christie's in aid of the Britney Spears Foundation for children in need. Among the items is a page from her junior high school notebook containing her handwritten book report on Rex Warner's translation of Sophocles' "Antigone."
The essay is expected to fetch up to $700 at the auction, which takes place on December 4, and is written in black ballpoint pen on both sides of the paper.
BritBrit got 88 out of 100 for her efforts and received comments from her teacher including "Nice" and "Organized."

Britney and estranged husband Kevin Federline kept a video diary of the start of their relationship - which was turned into the Britney and Kevin: Chaotic tv show - but also kept a written journal during the rest of her career break.
Regarding its future publication, an inside source told Sky Showbiz: “Britney feels this is the honest way to explain to fans her thoughts, fears and hopes over the last few years.”
The diary will not be published until after her divorce from Kevin Federline is finalised, the financial issues settled and custody of their two sons has been agreed in case the revelations affect the case.
